Self-awareness is the conscious knowledge of one’s own character, feelings, motives and desires. You may be subconsciously aware of your emotions and their effect on you, but if you are not consciously addressing them, then you will not be able to manage them; they will manage you instead! Below are examples of emotions and their management exercises:
Sadness
You are allowed to be sad. There is no reason that you have to remain positive in a situation that absolutely sucks. Feel all the feelings.

Cry when you need to. Take some alone time. Be sad for as long as you need to. It’s okay, but make sure to take care of yourself in at least one way. Take a bath, drink water and eat a meal.
Frustration
Frustration happens. Maybe you feel angry, annoyed or stuck in a place you don’t want to be.

Ask yourself why you have that answer; ask yourself if there is anything you can do to feel less frustrated. If yes, great, do that. And if no, give yourself 24 hours before reacting to any situation out of frustration. You will find clarity with time.
Loneliness
The times in which you feel alone, it is so important for you to recognize how many people in the world are also experiencing this right now.

Odds are, the number of people is much higher than you may think. Understand that it usually feels much worse than it is. When friends or family seem unreliable or unhelpful, look for a community where you feel heard.
Anxiety
There are several things that you can do to help yourself right now. Ask yourself what works best for you. Maybe it is a grounding technique, maybe it is a distraction or maybe it is simply allowing anxiety to be there.

The reason why you are feeling weird sensations is because your body is responding to a perceived threat. Remind yourself that you are safe in your body. This is temporary.
And last but not least…
