Caring Conversations’ Hub |  Letter To A Genius

Dear Genius,

Do you know that 85% of people in today’s world suffer from low self-esteem? It is a sad fact, isn’t it? Let’s focus on our journey together. Have you ever reached a point where you have lost control of the negative chitchats, and you can’t stop criticizing and devaluing yourself? Fighting a demon that lives inside your head can be your biggest strength and tragedy. A feeling of complete hopelessness, detachment even from your loved ones, and self-loathing are a few of the signs of the demon inside you winning.

The negative blather playing on a curve is the primary reason for your descent into self-hatred. Whether it was one horrendous childhood incident or a terrible relationship, any pain you are experiencing at this moment is because you are still living in that past. All you need to do is let go and embrace the present. Because when you do, your light will dazzle your being and the world around you. The problem isn’t the issue or the other person, but it is your thinking. Everyone in this world has experienced pain and no one’s life is perfect. If you see someone smiling and happy, all it means is that they are consciously choosing to be happy. And you should do the same with yourself.

One of the major causes of feeling bad about yourself arises from social media. We see others happy, traveling and smiling and our own life appears dull, imperfect and inadequate. But the truth is that social media is just a trailer, a highlight reel of their own lives. No one puts their tears, their pain, and their struggle for the world to see. The solution also involves some connection to the world around you, rather than complete detachment like a cave dweller. If you choose to do that, you will be a complete fool, wasting your time and talent and creating a truly dull life written with the ink of regret.

Go out, get some fresh air, spend time with people you love and who love you back and create what you are born to do. Mahatma Gandhi said, “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”

The lesson is to persist and not let the negative comments thrown at you weigh you down. Learn a new language or a musical instrument, celebrate every small step forward and bask in the spilling dopamine of happiness.

Our brain is our superpower, and it all depends on how we use it. We can use it to create pain or happiness. You will only feel beautiful when you actually believe it. Wearing attractive clothes and makeup will not distract you from feeling unattractive. If you feel beautiful regardless of your clothes, makeup, and looks, you will shine. Instead of superficial makeovers, direct your energy toward evolving into a better you. When you feel unworthy, you subconsciously send signals to the universe, manifesting that as your reality. When you feel like a victim, you project the blame onto everyone else instead of owning up to your actions.

Quit putting yourself down and release those negative patterns. Remember, only those words have a power that you choose to believe in. Dear friend, there are a lot of challenges that you have to endure in your life, and the last thing you want is to go against yourself. Believe that you are meant to achieve greatness and excel at whatever you choose to do and let these words play on a loop in your head.

Forever Yours,

The person who was once exactly where you are now.
